Account migration is an upcoming Java Edition update announced by the Minecraft developers on October 21, 2020, where all Mojang accounts will be migrated to Microsoft accounts beginning early 2021. This process does not apply to Bedrock Edition since players already have a Microsoft account. Mojang has stated that this process will occur in "waves". Players will receive an email to the email address tied to their Mojang account with more information. Once this process starts, new Java Edition a
